Videos

I shot this short clip back in 1994 when I had my production studio. I created it for multiple reasons at the time. One of the reasons was to get a short video of Carmenia Knights started. This is the first vision of Carmenia I had. The other reason was to put my new digital video editing system to the test. The ship shown in the video is a toy model I designed and built using balsawood, hung from a string and shot in front of a red screen/blanket. The rest was done with over nine layers of composited images and a single video of me wearing my go-kart helmet.

I admit this is crude. But at the time it was six years ahead of everything else on the market. There wasn’t a digital video camera at the time I produced this when ‘non-linear video editing’ was in its infant stages.

This video was created in 1995. I moved from physical models to 3D modeling in order to create the world I wanted without breaking the bank. It also allowed me to create whole worlds, and a totally immersive experience.

The  technology allowed me to fly through windows and create worlds where anything could exist and happen.
