This is the original cover as designed for the book. It depicts the breaking point of our hero, Tracer, as he loses himself in his resolve to destroy the Reptilians. We see in his left hand his inability to hang on to his helmet as it slips from his hand. His energy and will to continue has been stripped from him. In his right hand, we see a determined fist that is clinched as hard as he can clinch it as the rage inside of him boils over. He is standing with his back to the camera out of shame for what he is about to do. Having been destroyed emotionally and physically he has reached his breaking point. This is the moment where he loses himself.
